This course is an ideal starting point for those still at school but considering a career in the motor vehicle industry. This is an introductory course for students who have attained KCSE mean grade of D and below. It covers general workplace skills such as team building, problem solving, health and safety, and workspace management as well as technical skills and knowledge needed for basic competency in the motor vehicle industry. In addition, students will also cover the basic units of entrepreneurship, communication, employability and digital literacy; thus, creating an all-round person who is able to survive in any work environment.

Plumbing

This is an introductory course in plumbing, and focuses on the basic principles and techniques of plumbing, including installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. The program is structured for trainees who have attained KCSE mean grade of D or below. The areas taught in the course include introduction to basic plumbing concepts, occupational health and safety practices in plumbing, tool identification and usage, basic plumbing systems, pipe work and fittings, plumbing fixtures and appliances, installation techniques, repair and maintenance. In addition, trainees will learn digital literacy and environmental conservation, thus enhancing their competitiveness in the constantly changing work environment.

Food Production And Service

This is an introductory course for trainees who scored mean grade of D+ and below in KCSE. Persons who have attained Level 3 certification can also progress to this course to improve their knowledge and expertise in the food production industry. The course equips trainees with advanced culinary techniques, menu planning, food safety, hospitality management, cost control, wine and beverage management, global cuisine, hands-on practical experience, industry trends, and professional development. Besides these, trainees will also be taught digital literacy, entrepreneurship and communication skills which would enable them to successfully market their food production services.
